Julie Bock is an Elder with the Community of Christ church, Riverview, Michigan, and serves as a member of the pastoral team.  Mrs. Bock has been performing weddings and offering

pre-marital counseling since 1996.

Julie is Executive Director of the Marriage Resource Center of Wayne County.  As founder of the MRC-WC, she is motivated to build a coalition of similarly minded individuals and organizations who strive to raise awareness of the benefits of healthy marriages for couples and for families throughout the County.

Mrs. Bock received a Certificate in Marriage Education from the University of Bridgeport, after being awarded her Associates degree from Schoolcraft College.  Julie is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Society at Schoolcraft College, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Detroit Business Institute in 1984.  Julie has attended Eastern Michigan University and Spring Arbor University, Dearborn, Michigan, pursuing her degree in Family Life Education.  

Julie completed PREP Instructor training in 2004, and PREP Within My Reach training in 2005.  She is certified as a Tier III Professional, Controlled Separation Coach through the School for Marriage and is also certified as a P.I.C.K. a Partner instructor.  She completed FOCCUS Train the Trainer instruction in 2006.  Julie has taught numerous workshops to couples and professionals, and frequently assists couples utilizing the FOCCUS pre-marital inventory.

Julie received appointment as a Notary Public in 1987, obtaining her Certification as a Mobile Notary Signing Agent in 2003 while beginning her entrepreneurial career the same year.  Mrs. Bock owned and managed JP Executive Solutions through 2006, successfully growing the company to include a client base of banks, mortgage companies, signing services and title agencies. She has served as bookkeeper, office manager and Finance Director for a number of area businesses and non-profit organizations over the past 20 years.

Mrs. Bock and her husband, Jim, have been married for 33 years. They have two grown sons, and one granddaughter. Julie's leisure activities include spending time with her husband, bike riding and singing in the church choir.
